Bookings made through the website are confirmed upon payment.

Accommodation-Only Bookings

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before stay are eligible for a partial refund. All bookings made include a 15% non-refundable confirmation fee.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the stay receive no refund.

Golden Circle, Secret Lagoon and Bubble Tour, South Coast and Bubble Tour, Volcano, Blue Lagoon and Bubble Tour

Bookings include a 15% confirmation fee that is non-refundable. All taxes and fees such as VAT and Lodging Tax are included in the price.

Guests are able to cancel their booking until 48 hours (2 days) prior to the start of the tour. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start of the tour will receive no refund.

Changes, i.e. change of tour date can be made to booking up to 72 hours before arrival. Past 72 hours, no changes can be made. If no availability is possible to move the booking date, your tour will be canceled and refunded according to our cancellation terms.

Cancellations Due to Conditions Outside of Our Control

Flotferdir ehf reserves the right to cancel, alter or postpone any tour at any time and without notice. We also reserve the right to alter itineraries, routes, and departure times when necessary. When applicable, if we must cancel due to circumstances out of our control, a full refund will be granted to all guests affected.

New Accommodation
It is the responsibility of all guests to find their own accommodation due to tour cancellations.

Contact us if you need assistance, but please remember, there is no monetary reimbursement for the new accommodation.

Confirmed Bookings

All guests should receive their confirmation receipt shortly after booking. If you do not receive this, it is your responsibility to contact us in order to fix any errors that may have occurred.

Pick up and Drop off

Please know, pick up and drop off before and after our tours occur in Reykjavik city only. If you have booked accommodation outside of the city, are flying in/out of Keflavik International Airport, driving in from another part of the country, etc., you are responsible for finding your own way to an appropriate pickup/drop-off location within the city limits of Reykjavik. Be aware, locations can not be changed on the morning of the tour.

Missed Pick Up

If you are not able to make it to your pick-up location on time, no refund is granted. Please be on time and ready for your pick-up, which begins at 12:00 (Golden Circle, Secret Lagoon, and Bubble Tour) and 11:30 (South Coast and Bubble Tour), unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to alter this at any time.

Airline Cancellations

Airline cancellations follow our general cancellation terms and losses are not covered by Flotferdir ehf. Please look into purchasing travel insurance if you are concerned about airline cancellations due to weather, delays/missed flights, and/or airline companies closing/canceling flight destinations.

Travel Insurance

Flotferdir ehf is not responsible for any loss, damage, sickness, injury, damage, or accident due to or caused by circumstances out of our control. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of all guests when any delays and/or costs caused by flight changes/transportation occur, both from international destinations and domestic.

It is strongly recommended for all guests to purchase travel insurance before coming to Iceland, or any foreign country. This type of insurance can cover you for emergencies, accidents, and costs caused by needing to cancel trips/tours at last minute.

Currency Rates and Payments

Please know payment on the website is processed as Icelandic Krona only. It is best to discuss this with your bank if you have any questions about foreign transaction fees or currency rates.

Refunds and Changes in Currency Rate

Changes in exchange rates may take effect immediately and without notice due to market fluctuations. Customer refunds may give customers a currency gain or a currency loss depending on the exchange rate of the day and the currency in question. Flotferdir ehf is not responsible for these currency fluctuations.

Payment is made in Icelandic Krona and refunds are processed as Icelandic Krona.

Gift Certificates and Discounted Open Ticket Voucher/COVID Voucher

The gift card redemption code can be used for any of our own Buubble travel products, to a maximum value of the original, pre-discount amount. Today all of the travel products on our website are our own.

The gift card unique redemption code you receive is non-refundable, meaning it has no cash value, and can only be transferred among our products or re-issued. The date of tour can be adjusted to fit your travel needs if needed and must follow our terms (see above): the date must be confirmed for change at least 3 days before the booked travel date.

Other Gift certificates are also non-refundable.

The unique redemption code is valid for travel from 01.May.2020 and for 5 years after the purchased date.

Not valid for solo travelers.

Assumed Risk & Outdoor Activities 

Guests are advised that all activities are undertaken entirely at their own risk and they must behave in a fit and proper manner at all times in accordance with Buubble ehf or its partners’ guidelines and must take proper responsibility for their own safety. All tours and outdoor activities carry inherent risks and Buubble ehf or its partners do not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by its customers or can be traced to their own actions or are caused by factors outside of human control (Force majeure). With the purchase of your trip you agree to these conditions, understand its implications and accept responsibility for your participation in your trip. Depending on the excursion, you may be requested to sign an additional liability release.

Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation to any customer who they believe will not be able to complete the tour because of their physical condition, injury, or illness. In such cases, full cancellation charges apply.

We reserve the right to refuse participation to clients that are being physically or verbally abusive, or if they pose a threat to staff members or fellow travelers in any other way. In such cases, full cancellation charges apply.

Cancellations and Modifications

Any self-drive package can be canceled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase. After 24 hours, each booking will have a non-refundable 15% cancellation fee for up to seven days before the start date. For cancellations less than seven days before the start date there will be no refund given. The itinerary can be altered, for an additional fee, up until seven days before departure.

Car Rental Terms and Conditions

Car rental information

Enjoy your trip with unlimited mileage and authorization for up to two drivers. 

The Tesla Model 3 is a 4WD with automatic transmission that can seat up to 5 passengers.

Included in the rental: Full insurance (self-deductible is up to 300 000 ISK), Unlimited mileage, Free charging at ON chargers, and Tesla superchargers.

Optional for an additional fee: Child seat, Additional driver

Car rental terms

All drivers must be a minimum of 20 years old and have had a driver’s license for at least one year. Upon picking up the vehicle, the driver’s licenses of all designated drivers and a credit card must be presented. When returning the car, the deposit will be returned to the driver, provided the conditions of the car are the same as when it was picked up.  

Age Requirement and Driver’s License

A valid, in date, driver’s license must be presented and have been held for at least 12 months prior to renting the vehicle. The renter must be at least 20 years of age.

Payment and Credit Card Hold

A credit card must be taken at the start of rental to be held in our records. This imprint may be used to pay any extra insurance, damage, parking fines, or any cost due to the rental car as a result of the persons utilizing the vehicle.

Rental Period

The rental period is a minimum 24 hours. Dropping off the vehicle early, even just a few hours after pick-up, will be regarded as a full day.

Pickup and Drop Off Location

Our pick-up and drop-off location is at Keflavik International Airport.

Traveling Abroad

Traveling with any of the vehicles to a location outside of Iceland is strictly prohibited.

Vehicle

If the written vehicle is unavailable for any reason, Airmango reserves the right to substitute another vehicle type.

Fuel/Gasoline/Charging

The Tesla 3 LR is a fully electric vehicle, which takes zero fuel/gasoline. Instead, the Tesla will need to be charged, which may or may not incur more costs on the renter. Charging is included at Tesla superchargers, ON, N1, and Ísorka chargers as well as chargers at the bubble hotel.

For vehicles that utilize fuel/gasoline, the vehicle will be given with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. For any missing fuel, the renter’s credit card will be charged.

Tax

Local VAT (value added tax) is 24% in Iceland and it is included in the price.

Child seats

It is by law in Iceland for young children to travel in safety seats in all vehicles. A child seat can be pre-ordered for a charge or rented on the day of pickup, when available. Child seats are for children aged up to 5 years of age. A booster seat is also available for children who fit the criteria.

By not using this child seat, you are breaking the law, the driving contract, and any incidents will be at the fault of the driver.

Making a booking

A valid credit card is required for all bookings. 

Early return

An early vehicle return is possible and must be confirmed with a representative. There are no refunds or discounts for returning a car early.

Insurances

It is suggested that all travelers to Iceland purchase traveler’s insurance.

The following damages, though not a complete list, are when the renter is responsible, i.e. not covered by third party insurance:

– Negligence

– Damages caused by driving into waters/rivers or by off-roading

– Driving while under the influence

– Damage to tires, headlights, and/or the underside of the vehicle

– Damage caused by wind blowing open the vehicle’s door

– Damage caused by sand, ash, lava, etc.

The Sentry Mode can not be turned off during the rental period. Recordings may be watched by the Fleet Manager in case of damage to the car to determine its origin. 

The rental fee includes the mandatory vehicle insurance, i.e. liability insurance and accident insurance for the driver and the owner.

Third-party liability insurance and accident insurance for the driver are to the amount stipulated by Icelandic law at any given time. The Renter’s own-risk because of damage to the rented vehicle may amount to the full value of the vehicle.

Information Regarding the current COVID-19 Pandemic

Any bookings made after March 2020 are made at the customers’ own risk and are not valid for any special refunds due to flight cancellation or COVID-19 related travel issues, etc. Please check your government’s website or airline for current travel restrictions and regulations. Please note quarantine may be mandatory upon arrival and it is not possible to quarantine at The Buubble Hotel or while on a guided tour.
