Calling the First 100 Founding Travel Architects

When I built the first bubble in a remote forest in Iceland, I wasn’t thinking about startups or markets. I just wanted people to fall asleep under the stars. That was it. There was no grand plan.

Then something unexpected happened.

Photographers, filmmakers, and travel creators began showing up. They started sharing their experiences — not because I asked them to, but because they felt something worth sharing. The story of the “5 Million Star Hotel” started spreading far beyond what I could have imagined. It wasn’t marketing. It was magic.

I started calling these people Travel Architects. They were the ones shaping how others saw the place. They made it go viral.

But as the hotel grew, so did the attention from big travel agencies and platforms. They stepped in, repackaged the experience, and started earning commissions. The Travel Architects, the ones who actually created the demand, got… maybe a free night.

And that’s when I realized something was broken.

The people who made the story valuable weren’t getting any share of that value. That stuck with me — for years. I didn’t know what to do with it at the time, but I couldn’t let it go.

I stumbled on a second part of the puzzle — almost by accident. And suddenly, the whole thing started to make sense. I saw a way to fix the value chain and build something that actually honors the people who drive demand. Something built around them — around you.

So I started building it. A new kind of platform. Think of it as TikTok for Travel — a place where trips go viral, not just videos. Where the people who create the dream also get to share in the reward.

I’ve raised my first pre-seed funding from an investor in Silicon Valley and set up a company in Delaware. But something still felt off.

The whole model relies on a simple idea: when creators are rewarded directly, the entire system gains momentum. It’s a flywheel: if revenue moves toward creators, the whole system starts spinning. That’s how Amazon got its engine running — and it’s the same here. But there was a missing piece: the very people meant to drive this — the Travel Architects — weren’t at the table yet.
