Duration

This is a guided tour that last for approximately 23 hours. We leave around 12:00-12:30 from Reykjavik and we are back around 10:30-11:00 the morning after to Reykjavik.

Travel style

This is a small group guided tour. Max 6 passengers plus driver-guide in the vehicle. We pick you up from your accommodation in Reykjavik and drop you off 23 hours later in Reykjavik.

Food

We will stop at the local restaurant Mika for dinner. Before heading to the bubbles for overnight sleep. The price of this dinner is not included in the price of the tour.

This is a 2 day trip. Car pickup early morning in Reykjavik and return scheduled for the following day before 20:00.

This is a self-drive package with a suggested itinerary. Pick up the your rental car in Reykjavik, drive the Golden Circle, stay at the bubble and back to Reykjavik day after.

Food

There is no food included in this self-drive package.

What you'll do

This self-drive package starts in Reykjavik where you will pick up your rental car. This classic tour will bring you to the Golden Circle area and to the 5 Million Star Hotel for the evening where you will sleep in a bubble and experience the magical summer nights of Iceland. For the tour, first stop will be Thingvellir National Park where you can choose to simply tour the park. Next will be Gullfoss where you can feel the thundering power flowing from the glacial river. Next stop on the Golden Circle is Geysir geothermal area. Here you can also enjoy lunch at Geysir Bistro and enjoy the famous Icelandic meat soup. In the evening, arrive to the 5 Million Star Hotel where you will be led to your bubble for the night. You will then drive back to Reykjavik in the second day.

Thingvellir National Park

Travel the famous Golden Circle tour in just one day visiting Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, and Geysir geothermal area. For the night, enjoy your bubble accommodation. Drive back to Reykjavik the morning after.

Stop 2

Geyser geothermal area

Head back to Reykjavik to enjoy the vibrant city life. Stroll down the main shopping street of Laugavegur and dine out on the harbour. Be sure to check out the shops, museums, and cafes before dropping your car off at our office location.

Stop 3

Gullfoss waterfall

Head back to Reykjavik to enjoy the vibrant city life. Stroll down the main shopping street of Laugavegur and dine out on the harbour. Be sure to check out the shops, museums, and cafes before dropping your car off at our office location.

Stop 4

Secret Lagoon

Cancellation policy

Any self-drive package can be canceled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase. After 24 hours, each booking will have a non-refundable 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations must be received no less than 3 days before start time. The date can be altered, no charge, no less than 3 days before start time.

Guest requirements

Up to 4 guests, no age limit, can attend. The activity level for this adventure is easy to moderate and is for you to create. Keep in mind, there is never a guarantee of nice weather and it is good to keep in mind the changeability of Icelandic weather. The package will be cancelled in the case of extreme or dangerous weather conditions, i.e. road closures due to high winds. This is rare in the summer season. We recommend you wear layered, seasonally appropriate clothing with a waterproof outer layer/winter jacket. On your feet should be warm and comfortable walking shoes/boots. We advise all customers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
