What you'll do

This self drive tour was designed for those who want to see the best things Iceland has to offer in 6 days. In essence The Best of Iceland. You will be able to cover Golden Circle region, South Coast waterfalls such as Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss, the incredible Black Beach before heading towards Jökulsarlon Glacier Lagoon with Diamond Beach. On the way back you will visit Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, The 5 Million Star hotel and Fridheimar food experience. Last two days will include City of Reykjavik, The Blue Lagoon and recently erupted Geldingardalur volcano.

Your itinerary

Day 1

Explore South Coast & The Black beach

Begin your journey at Keflavik airport and make your way towards the South Coast to reach the captivating Black Beach. Rest for the night at the charming Hrifunes Guesthouse.

Day 2

Vatnajökull area and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon

During the second day of your adventure, you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at the awe-inspiring Jökulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and the Vatnajökull glacier region, before concluding the day’s journey at Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon.

Day 3

The 5 Million Star hotel

Embark on your day’s journey by visiting the magnificent Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, which gained fame after being featured in a music video by Justin Bieber. You can add a glacier walk to this day if feeling adventurous. Following that, proceed towards The 5 Million Star Hotel.

Day 4

The Golden Circle area with visit to Friðheimar

Embark on your day’s journey by visiting the Kerdid crater. Afterwards, make your way to the renowned Geyser Geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall before indulging in the culinary delights of the Fridheimar food experience. For the night, settle in at Reykjavik.

Day 5

Explore Reykjavik and Blue Lagoon

Spend the morning exploring the City of Reykjavik before embarking on your journey towards the Blue Lagoon. After a day of indulging in its restorative waters, dine at the Lava Restaurant and retire for the night at the luxurious Blue Lagoon Retreat hotel.

Day 6

Heading back home

If your departure time allows, you have the option to include a hike to Geldingardalur, a volcano that recently erupted and is now dormant, on this day before returning to Keflavik Airport.

One night for two in The 5 Million Star Hotel. One night for two in a carefully selected hotels we have handpicked for you.

Rental car

Rental car for 6 days. Basic insurance included. Electricity to power the car is included in the rental price.

Tickets

Premium entrance to the Blue Lagoon and a glacier walk tour (optional) for two people are included in the price.
